You can sell your old textbooks through the Students' Union bookshop by dropping the books you wish to sell in to the Students' Union office. To sell your books simply create a bookshop account through the following link ulsu.starlight.ie/users/signup/ and then hand your books into SU Reception with your name, id. no and the price you require written on the inside of each book. You set the price at which you want to sell the books, and the Students' Union take a €2 administrative charge for each book sold.
If the books have not sold by the end of the academic year you can choose to have them returned to you or alternatively they can be donated to charity.
Please note that books without an ISBN code cannot be accepted by the bookshop.

Located upstairs in The Student Centre, the Students' Union Common Room is a great place to chill out, listen to music, chat with friends and enjoy your lunch. With free wi-fi, comfortable couches and vending machines for refreshments, it is by far the most comfortable place to relax on campus! Whether it's to come and enjoy your lunch with friends or to take advantage of the wireless internet access we offer, come and enjoy, it is here for your benefit! The games room contains 8 snooker tables; many arcade machines, refreshment machines and a jukebox. The common room is also open for all students to use during the day and up to 11 at night during term.
Adele has responsibility for the delivery of all services within the student's Union, both commercial and non-commercial, as well as overall management of the Student Centre Building. Seán is here for all students seeking advice and support on any matters or issues that may arise during their time in UL. Seán is here to offer a listening ear and will make every effort to support you in the best way possible. Liz keeps the minutes and the notes from all our meetings and puts the rest of us to shame with her tidiness and affinity for filing. Without Liz, it’s unlikely any of the sabbatical officers would make any meeting! She also assists the Education Officer with the administration of the class reps system.Contact Me
Olwen is the Student Union's event coordinator. She is the person responsible for putting on gigs, concerts and activities all year round, as well as Freshers week and Charity week. She is also available to help class reps organise their class outings and parties. It is her job to make sure you have a fun and memorable time at UL.Contact Me
Killian is our marketing administrator. He works with Olwen and the Ents team to coordinate the marketing, sponsorship, external advertisers and promotional activity that happen on campus. He also takes editorial control of the Students' Union website and all social media pages. As well as creating content for these media it's his job to make sure you know when and what is happening on campus.Contact Me
Martin joined the Team as General Manager in October 2013 and is responsible for the smooth and effective operation of The Students' Union. He manages the Staff Team and is responsible for leading the growth and development of the Union. He also works in an impartial advisory capacity and provides guidance and essential information to the constantly changing sabbatical teams from year to year. Paul has been the C&S Development Manager since 1998. It is a multi-faceted rold and the responsibilities include the development of the administrative system for the existing 70+ Clubs & Societies, the financial management of capitation for C&S, event management, health & safety, to name but a few. He also has representational duties on the UL Arena Board of Directors and the Board of Irish Colleges Societies (BICS). If you wish to start a new Club or Society you should talk to Paul.Contact Me
Michelle is your Clubs and Societies Coordinator in ULSU. She works with Paul in the C&S Office on the first floor of the Students' Union building. She represents UL Societies on the Board of Irish College Societies (BICS) in her position as Vice Chair of its council. She is also chair of the organising committee for the yearly SoUL (Societies of UL) Arts Fest .She deals with anything finance-related (processing budget submissions, cheques & credit card requests and hosting of Treasurer’s Workshops) or insurance-related (Personal Accident, Foreign Travel Insurance, Equipment & Marine Policies) within C&S. Michelle looks after the C&S minibus, sprinter and land cruiser in terms of driver testing, insurance, bookings and servicing. She liaises with Students Services on your behalf to secure room bookings across campus. Michelle deals with the Clubs and Societies Executive on an almost daily basis during the College year and is your main point of contact for queries on Foreign Trip Proposals and Special Applications.
